About us
We built this because an unanswered alarm is personal.
Not A Lone Worker is made and run by TNS365 — a UK company that has spent years answering calls and coordinating help around the clock. We know exactly what it feels like when someone should have checked in and hasn’t.
A 24/7 operation, by background
TNS365 runs round-the-clock call handling and breakdown operations. Our teams are on the phone at 3am coordinating recovery, chasing acknowledgements and making sure the right person picks up. That work runs on one simple truth: a call that goes unanswered is not a small thing — somebody is waiting on the other end of it.
Lone-worker safety is the same problem in a different shape. A community nurse on a late visit, a security guard on a night patrol, an engineer alone at a remote site — when they go quiet, the gap between “they’ve not checked in” and “someone is helping them” is where things go wrong. Closing that gap is exactly what our operation has always been about.
Why lone-worker safety
Under UK health-and-safety law, employers are responsible for the safety of people who work alone. But a duty of care written in a policy document doesn’t help anyone at 9pm on a Friday. What helps is a system that notices when a check-in doesn’t come back, tries every sensible way to reach the worker, and then reaches real people until one of them takes ownership.
Too many lone-worker products are either a panic button nobody presses, or a monitoring contract that costs a fortune and still relies on a human watching a screen. We wanted something that runs itself in the background, never forgets a check, and only interrupts a normal shift when it genuinely matters — and that gives you the evidence afterwards to show you took the duty seriously.
The TNS365 relationship
Not A Lone Worker is a TNS365 service, built and hosted in the UK. That parentage isn’t just a logo in the footer: a company whose teams have spent years on the phone at 3am — to drivers, engineers and people having the worst night of their week — does not need persuading that an unanswered alarm matters. That experience is why the escalation ladder is built the way it is: it keeps going until a named human takes ownership.
