When does Not A Lone Worker launch?

September — we're putting the final polish on it now. Register your interest and we'll email you the moment sign-up opens. Registering takes ten seconds and there's no commitment.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — the Lite plan comes with a 14-day free trial so you can set up real schedules and see it working before you pay. The trial is available once per company. Pro and Ultimate start billing from sign-up.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Billing is monthly with no lock-in, handled securely through Stripe. You can cancel from the Stripe customer portal whenever you like and you won’t be charged again — your cover simply runs to the end of the paid month.

What counts as a “check”?

One check is a single scheduled welfare check-in sent to a worker. The follow-ups around it — the grace-window nudge, the AI voice call and any escalation to your team — are all included and don’t count against your monthly allowance. Panic / SOS alerts don’t use up checks either.

Where is my data stored?

In the UK and EU. Not A Lone Worker is built and hosted in the UK by TNS365; worker and check data stays within UK/EU data centres. See our privacy policy for the full detail and the list of processors we use.

What channels do check-ins use?

Check-ins go out by SMS, email and the web app — whatever suits each worker, with no app to install (an SMS carries a one-tap link). If a worker stays quiet, our AI voice caller “Zoe” phones them as a fallback before anyone is escalated.

What happens when a worker misses a check?

Nothing dramatic at first: a grace window passes and a reminder SMS nudges them. If it’s still open, “Zoe” makes an AI voice call, then a sequential escalation ladder alerts real people who each have to acknowledge before it moves on. If the ladder is exhausted, the account owner is notified. See how it works for the full sequence.

Do workers need to install an app?

No. A worker can check in straight from an SMS or email link — nothing to download and nothing to learn. The web app is there for anyone who prefers it, but it’s entirely optional.

What happens if nobody on the ladder answers?

The ladder never dead-ends. Once every contact has been alerted and none has acknowledged, the account owner is notified by email, SMS and phone call. The incident then stays open on your dashboard until someone closes it and records the outcome, so there is always an audit trail of what happened and who acted.
